Natalie Brumfield

Foster Care Mom, Writer and Ministry Leader

Natalie Brumfield is an adoptive mom & foster parent advocate in Birmingham, Alabama that has a passion for empowering families to make a difference by serving children and families in crisis. She is a pro-life initiatives writer who has written for Charisma Magazine, Charisma News, Life Site News, Live Action & The Christian Post. In 2020, she published her first children’s book “The House that Love Built” that shares God’s language of adoption from her own family’s story. In 2024, Natalie wrote a 21 day devotional called “The Rebirth of Family: Mothers.” It is a 21 day experience for mothers that challenges us at the crossroads of life to look and ask the Lord for the ancient paths, His godly way as in Jeremiah 6:16.

Since 2008, Natalie has led Bound4LIFE Birmingham, a grassroots prayer movement for the ending of abortion, increase of adoption & revival in government. Natalie has served her local pregnancy resource center for the last 15 years. She is involved in her church’s foster care outreach ministry and has spoken and written as an Advisor with The Wall Adoption Movement where she has taught Christian perspective on Adoption Remorse Prevention, Celebrating your Children’s Stories, and Learning to Grieve with Your Child.

She is married to Matthew Brumfield, the one who gave her Nancy Drew books and Moon Pies on their first date. And together they have seven beautiful children of which their oldest three were adopted into their family while being fostered in their home. Matthew serves on the staff of Highlands College, their church’s ministry school, while also leading worship in the community for ministry events. They are both passionate about raising up the next generation of leaders for Jesus & seeing revival begin in the home. Currently, they are in the small beginning stages of building Seven Thunders Ranch, a hidden respite in the valley for Christ-centered equine, art and worship therapy camps specifically for children in foster care, children in crisis, and families in missional recovery.
