Commentary: Christ and service define Pro-life Woman of the Year Suzanne Guy

Words cannot express the gratitude that Georgia Baptists feel toward Suzanne Guy. Recently, she received the Pro-life Woman of the Year Award at the annual Celebrate Life Conference hosted by Abby Johnson in Washington, D.C., June 27-29.

Claire Bartlett, the Executive Director of Georgia Life Alliance, said, “We are so happy for Suzanne receiving this well-deserved recognition – a woman who is an inspiration to so many.”

“Both at the Capitol and in her community, Suzanne never stops,” says Elizabeth Edmunds, who used to lobby at the Georgia state capitol.  Edmunds reminds us that, “whether she is lobbying for pro-life legislation or delivering diapers to a mom in need, Suzanne sets a standard for servant leadership, speaks hard truths with love, and never asks of someone else what she herself is not already doing to build a Culture of Life.”
