Three doctors told them to abort their baby because of an adverse medical diagnosis. The doctors said the baby would die and the mother’s life could also be in danger. But Peter and Suzanne Guy, bolstered by their Christian faith, refused to give up hope for their daughter. Encouraged by Suzanne’s mother, they believed ‘If there is a heartbeat, there is hope’.
Their daughter, Rachel, was born prematurely at 26 weeks weighing 1 lb 2 ozs. Despite the challenges she faced in the NICU, she triumphed and is now leading a healthy life.
