Author of 'Arms Open Wide'
Sherri Gragg, author of Arms Open Wide - A Call to Linger in the Savior's Presence, utilizes cultural background, archeology and more to paint the lives of the people the Savior touched when he walked among us. She has been passionately using her gifts of writing and teaching to share what she sees with anyone who will listen.
While visiting Israel several years ago, Sherri discovered the beautiful Jewish roots of the Christian faith. As she studied among the ancient ruins and sands of Israel, she was surprised to find how much she had missed as she read scripture apart from the cultural lens in which it was written. Once that lens was applied, the Jesus she had known since childhood emerged as more compassionate and tender than she ever imagined.
Writing with Sheila Walsh, her two newest projects, 5 Minutes with Jesus: A Fresh Infusion of Joy and 5 Minutes with Jesus: Quiet Time for Your Soul, explore the power even short focused times alone with God can have on our daily lives.
Sherri is a nationally published freelance writer who was awarded fourth place in the inspirational category of the 2012 Writer's Digest Competition. She and her husband, Michael, have five children and live in Franklin, Tennessee.
